Our Brief

Cuisine on Cue, renowned event caterers from South East Queensland were tasked with providing event catering services for the Mount Isa 100 Year Celebration, a prestigious event commemorating the centennial milestone of the town. The occasion required a grand sit-down gala event and the ability to cater to diverse dietary requirements for over 400 esteemed guests.

Our Approach

Understanding the significance of the occasion, Cuisine on Cue embarked on a comprehensive planning process. Collaborating closely with event organisers and suppliers, arranging logistics, staffing, food, beverages, equipment, entertainment, and theming.

The team thoughtfully prepared a bespoke menu, including canapés, alternating entrees, mains, and desserts, each crafted to perfection with special attention paid to allergens and dietery preferences, ensuring every guest could enjoy their culinary experience.

Logistically, Cuisine on Cue executed a seamless operation, from the setup of temporary kitchen facilities to the coordination of transportation and logistics. This involved strategic planning to overcome challenges such as remote location, limited facilities, and limited local supply, necessitating transportation of key supplies by truck and flights for team members. Efficient communication with key stakeholders and vendors ensured that everyone involved was well-informed and aligned, enabling swift decision-making and smooth coordination throughout the entire process.
