Joshua & Emma’s Wedding

Joshua and Emma celebrated their dream wedding at the charming White Chapel, Black Hall in Kalbar. The ceremony was held in the afternoon, allowing guests to enjoy post-ceremony drinks as the sun set over the barn and surrounding grounds.

The Ceremony: White Chapel

The ceremony was held in the White Chapel. This historic 134 year old church was recently transformed into a stunning country-chic wedding chapel.

Ceramic vases filled with white flowers framed the couple as they said their vows. White chairs were arranged for guests and small floral bouquets tied to the end chairs were used to line the aisle.

Guests were served pre-dinner drinks and canapés in the barn and surrounding grounds. The bar comes complete with an original ‘claw bath’ cooler, rustic pressed metal bar, vintage wood burner stove, antique country memorabilia and 44 gallon drum wood burners.

The Reception: Black Hall

The reception was held in the Black Hall. This stunning reception space features restored timber floors, panelled walls and a welcoming stone fireplace complete with antler chandelier.

White wooden tables were styled with white, gold and pink colours. Gold cutlery was paired with gold vases containing pink and white flowers. Lanterns were filled with natural greenery and tea-light candles were scattered along the table.

Guests were served a two-course set menu. For entree, Cuisine on Cue served seared scallops with cauliflower cream, chorizo crumble and broad beans. This was alternated with lemongrass pork belly pressed with sautéed shiitake and enoki mushrooms.

Main course was an alternate drop of baked chicken with tomato, basil, green olives and pressed lemon oil, or roasted rib eye with portobello mushrooms, candied cranberries and khrenovina sauce.

For dessert, guests were offered plated wedding cake with berry coulis and fresh cream.
