Catherine’s House
An initiative that we celebrated last year was the opening of Catherine’s House, a special place for mothers, babies, and families dealing with perinatal mental health challenges.
Opened in March 2023, standing alongside the Mater Mothers’ Hospital in South Brisbane, Catherine’s House is Queensland’s first-ever mental health centre for new parents. Co-designed by parents with lived experience and health professionals, it is a space filled with warmth, understanding, and support for parents navigating mental health challenges during the crucial first year of their baby’s life.
Cuisine on Cue’s Integral Role
Turning the clock back to the opening events of Catherine’s House in March last year, Cuisine on Cue was an integral part of the celebrations. As the Mater Foundations trusted event catering partner, Cuisine on Cue played a key role in crafting delicious catering for various events, including morning teas, the supporters and patrons dinner, and the official opening and blessing morning.
Nurturing Communities
Beyond the successful Catherine’s House opening celebrations, our partnership with the Mater Foundation extends to ongoing contributions throughout the year, from catering large fundraising galas to smaller intimate events.
