As the proud catering partner of the esteemed Queensland Ballet, it was our pleasure to be a part of their annual Giving Day appeal on Thursday, June 24, which saw every donation to the company quadrupled!
The scene was set at the contemporary Mercedes Benz Newstead showroom with guests enjoying handcrafted canapes amongst luxury vehicles. Hosted by Queensland Ballet’s Artistic Director Li Cunxin, the event welcomed a diverse mix of Queensland Ballet’s top private and corporate donors shining a spotlight on the value of their fundraising efforts.
The bespoke menu created by Cuisine on Cue’s executive chef showcased local produce such as Summerland Camels’ feta. Other highlights included king prawn salad served with a black ink crisp and smoked trout roe, sesame-crusted pork on black rice bao, and a sweet strawberry martini-inspired dessert.
Guests were treated to a pas de deux from Francois Klaus’ “Cloudland”, a story that explores the themes of love and loss centerd around the city’s iconic Cloudland Ballroom. The evening also featured film highlights from some of Queensland Ballet’s longest-standing donors and patrons with messages of how ballet has touched their lives.
