We understand better than anyone just how overwhelmingly large a task like planning a wedding can seem.
There are caterers to organise, dresses to try on, guests to invite and honeymoons to plan. But don’t fly into a panic just yet, Cuisine on Cue understands that your special day requires personalised attention on every front, so we are dedicated to extending our offerings far beyond catering.
To make things a little easier, we’ve sat down with our team to answer some of their most commonly asked catering questions!

Questions To Ask Your Wedding Caterer
Can you cover dietary requirements?
This question is important. Let you caterer know what guests have dietary requirements in advance to the event. These requirements include dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, organic, kosher, halal, allergies and other dietary requirements.
Where will the food be prepared?
It’s important to understand the distance from the facilities and kitchen. Depending on facilities and menu, food can be prepared offsite and plated at the location.
What equipment will you bring to cater for my wedding?
The caterer needs to know what kitchen facilities are available at the location. This way the caterer can prepare what (if any) equipment is required for off-site catering. The caterer needs to consider things such as flooring, ovens, power, gas.

How many staff are required to cater for my event?
1 staff member for every 15 guests for plated events. 1 staff member for every 25 guests for cocktail events
Plated vs Shared menus – What is the better option?
Plated is better suited to formal events. Shared dining for more casual (more room on the table for shared dining, easier for styling. Requires less tableware). Have you considered a progressive dining style? Guests are served a stand up entree (canapes, grazing table etc.) and a sit down main.
Can you do signature cocktails
Yes! Signature cocktails are a great way to start a wedding reception. Choose from bespoke spirits including Gins, Vodkas & Tequilas. Add a little unique twist/garnish and have the cocktail named for you.

What options are available for post-ceremony + pre-dinner?
Some ideas include dessert tables, cake, cheese platters, grazing tables, and canapes. For our full menu options, please click here.
Can you coordinate external suppliers, or should I attempt to do this myself?
We work with a range of expert suppliers who can assist with styling, flowers, equipment hire, and more. We can coordinate these suppliers to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day. We recommend using professional suppliers rather than attempting to DIY – it’s important to keep in mind that the venue may not allow access on site before the event.
