The Ceremony: Deluxe Rainforest Wedding Ceremony

Walkabout Creek’s Rainforest Ceremony Stage was the location of choice for Josh & Amanda’s vows, situated amidst the picturesque greenery of the lush D’Aguilar National Park. Made picture perfect with white swagging, scatter cushions and beautifully dressed registery table, it was a stunning setting for celebrant Lyne C Taylor to join the hands of the couple in marriage. This setting also provided an unlimited number of photographic opportunities for the event’s photographer James Dean.

The Wedding Venue: Banksia Room

Walkabout Creek’s beautiful Banksia Room was the setting for pre-drinks and dinner, with canapes on the deck lit by flickering tea candles and dinner inside the space. Our team set up both the included decorations and additional theming provided by the couple, including seating, a fairy light ceiling, centerpieces, the wishing well and guestbook tables and signage.

Catering: Classic Dining Package

Josh & Amanda chose to have a sit down three course dinner preceded by canapes and beverages. Our Classic Dining Package was perfect for their event, with an entrée, alternate drop mains and the stunning wedding cake from the Welsh Lady plated up and served to guests. On the dinner menu was entrees of lamb backstrap with grilled zucchini, bocconcini and roasted cherry tomatoes and grilled tiger prawns with rice noodles and fresh herbs, while mains were grilled eye fillet with kipfler potato, French peas and baby carrots, and pan fried barramundi fillet with fondant potato, grilled asparagus and champagne sabayon.

Wedding Catering Case Study: The Feedback

Josh & Amanda had this to say about their experience at Walkabout Creek:

“We had an amazing wedding at Walkabout Creek. Caitlin was so fantastic. She was always in communication with us about all the planning, flexible with our needs/adjustments and made sure that we would get what we wanted. The day before our wedding, we went to drop things off, and the manager of the place was there to greet us, help with the set up and ensure we were happy with everything. The staff on the night were so approachable and helpful to all the guests. It was one of the hottest days in November we got married on, and the team at Walkabout Creek on short notice, changed a few things to ensure our guests would be comfortable. Food was delicious as well! Overall, such a great experience and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a venue for any big event! Thank you to the amazing team at Walkabout Creek!”
