Old Government House Wedding Reception
For the reception, the guests moved into ‘The Hall’. This is a function room located in the heart of Old Government House and was formally the main reception room for hosting high society balls and banquets. This magnificent room features a sweeping staircase and a handcrafted crystal chandelier.
Once the bridal party had arrived at the reception everyone was seated for the meal. For the entrée guests were served dishes including our seared loin of Yellowfin Tuna with carrot ginger puree, pickled cucumber and sesame dressing. The alternative drop also included ricotta dumplings with shitake mushroom crème, wild cress and spinach oil.
Main meals featured thyme roasted pork belly with pinto bean, chorizo cassoulet and tempura onion and Moroccan spiced roasted emerald valley lamb rump with Imam Bayildi and pomegranate.
Following speeches guests were served dessert and the bride and groom had their first waltz. As the bride and groom left a farewell arch was formed by the guests.
