Cuisine on Cue were delighted to play a part in Peter & Edita’s wedding day in the stunning serenity of Byron Bay. After a beautiful ceremony on Tallows Beach, guests were taken to the reception venue on a private property for pre dinner canapés followed by a unique and relaxed stand up dining event. The relaxed mentality of this couple is present throughout all aspects of their special day.
The Ceremony: Tallows Beach, Byron Bay
Peter and Edita said their “I do’s” on the picturesque Tallows Beach in Byron Bay. With perfect beach wedding weather that most couples can only dream of, the laid back couple sunk their toes in the sand before and recited their vows witnessed by their closest friends and family. Their gorgeous beach wedding featured a beautifully decorated arch themed with seashells and ornaments. The romantic ambiance was perfectly balanced by wedding celebrant, Josh Withers who kept the ceremony relaxed, fun and effortless.
The Reception: Byron Bay
Following their ceremony, the newlyweds luck continued as the perfect autumn weather served up a striking sunset. Wedding guests were escorted to the wedding reception on a private property just minutes away from the vibrant surf.
Catering: Pre dinner cocktail canapés and stand up dining
Our team were ready to kick start the celebrations and welcomed the guests with a selection of pre dinner cocktail canapés. Keeping with the theme of the wedding, guests were served scallops, crispy squid, and kingfish. For the non-seafood lovers a selection of crumbed lamb, pork belly and rare beef fillet were also available.
Peter and Edita stuck with the relaxed setting throughout the evening, opting for stand up dining over a traditional sit down dinner. This meant that guests were encouraged to mingle throughout the evening, let their hair down and celebrate alongside the happy couple.
The chorizo, crispy squid, cider braised leeks and roasted cherry tomato warm salad is always a favourite for those who opt for stand up dining.
Keeping it simple. Our team love serving the children their treat of nuggets and wedges with BBQ sauce.
The Cake & Theming
Simplicity at it’s finest. Peter and Edita’s wedding was subtly themed. Both the flower arrangements and cake were embellished with seashells complimented by pink roses. Kandys Kakes made this delectable white chocolate mud cake for the special day.
