New Orleans Themed Christmas Party

Room Three Sixty were delighted to host an extravagant corporate affair at their spectacular rooftop event venue. The function room came to life for this New Orleans themed Christmas party through a combination of impressive styling, gourmet catering and entertainment.

The Venue: Room Three Sixty

Room Three Sixty is QUT’s premier rooftop event space. This contemporary venue sits directly opposite the Botanical gardens and boasts floor to ceiling glass panelled walls, allowing for panoramic views of the Brisbane city skyline.

Event Styling: New Orleans Themed Party

Staging Dimensions brought the venue to life with New Orleans themed styling. A classic black and white checkered dance floor exuded old jazz charm. Dry bars were scattered around the room, topped with feather centerpieces and glittering black tablecloths, adding true French quarter fan faire.

Live cooking stations were styled with black clothed trestle tables, next to wrought iron lamp posts, making the guests feel as if they were wandering the crescent city themselves.

Two backdrops were used in the room to transport guests to New Orleans. A black and white jazz music montage was placed behind the food station and a montage of traditional creole townhouses was located behind the stage where a live band kept the music flowing all night long.

Catering & Live Food Stations

Cuisine on Cue greeted guests with a delicious array of traditional New Orleans inspired canapes. Guests grazed on delicacies such as cheddar and pecan shortbread with maple bacon jam, and a ceviche of scallop with scallions and mint served in the shell.

Gourmet cheese stations were laiden with premium Australian and Queensland cheeses. Accompaniments included with seeded lavosh, oat crackers, grissini, muscatels, dried apricots, toasted and candied nuts and house made pear and ginger paste

Cuisine on Cue’s chefs delighted the audience with two live cooking stations. The Jambalaya Station offered guests a delicious Louisiana style rice pot dish featuring spiced chicken and prawns served with traditional cornbread.

The second station included a tantalising gumbo featuring shellfish and spiced sausage with bell peppers, onion and okra, served with charred cajun corn.

Our premium free flowing beverage package was available all night, with Caipirinhas and Bourbon based, Old Fashioned cocktails being served upon arrival.
