Cuisine on Cue absolutely delighted to be a part of Emma and Lachlan’s wedding celebration which took place against the industrial chic background of Fortitude Valley’s Lightspace. In collaboration with some of Brisbane’s most sought after wedding suppliers, our team managed to craft a modern and memorable event that kept guests satisfied from canapes to cake and beyond.
With the sparkling river behind them, Emma and Lachlan said ‘I do’ beneath the lush Poinciana trees that canopy Kangaroo Point’s Captain Burke Park. The bride, glowing in a fitted Mia Solano gown, walked down the aisle in front of 85 beaming guests towards her intended before being married by celebrant Linda Garret.

Chic and modern with just a touch of industrial edge, Fortitude Valley’s Lightspace offered a luxurious amd intimate backdrop for Emma and Lachlan’s wedding reception. Incorporating a crisp pallet of white, mixed with soft blushing blooms courtesy of Brisbane Flower Market and glamorous chairs supplied by Styled Events. The design played with light and textures to achieve a stylish yet romantic effect. The atmosphere was enhanced with music supplied by local DJ, George Kassos.
Wedding Catering: Canapes and Shared Banquet.
After the ceremony, guests were greeted on arrival at the reception venue with a selection of champagne and hand crafted canapes courtesy of Cuisine on Cue’s expert wedding catering team. The selection included individual slow cooked beef brisket tartlets with baby turnips and crème fraiche and pork belly and ginger gyoza with fresh coriander and sweet chilli. For the main event Emma and Lachlan opted for a shared dining experience with a range of hearty delicacies like roasted rib fillet with blue cheese, bacon and Brussel sprout and crispy skinned barramundi with dill pickle and chat potatoes. The four tiered wedding cake was supplied by Karlee’s Cupcakes and featured decadent layers of caramel and white chocolate mud cake.
Emma and Lachlan had this to say about their experience with Cuisine on Cue.
“We loved Lightspace as a venue, and wanted to provide a meal for our guests so we needed to find caterers to be able to provide for the event…the food was amazing. The highlights though would definitely be the haloumi dish, and the pork belly. All of the staff were really helpful, always checking in with us to make sure our drinks were full and that we were being looked after. Nearly all guests commented on the quality of the food and how it was some of the nicest ‘wedding food’ they’d ever had.”
