Walkabout Creek

“Walkabout Creek offers an experience that few can rival, in a setting that calms and truly invigorates.”

One of Brisbane’s most sought after rainforest function venues, Walkabout Creek, has launched a new outdoor event for summer soirees, Christmas parties and couples looking to celebrate their dream wedding by the water’s edge.

Nestled within the tranquil rainforest of D’Aguilar National Park, located 12kms from Brisbane’s CBD, this unassuming function venue boasts an abundance of options for outdoor events.

Featuring native wildlife, lush greenery and spectacular views, the new, waterfront event space can host open-air events for up to 250 guests.

The new lakeside lawn is a multipurpose event space and can be hired for a range of corporate and private functions.

Wedding Receptions & Ceremonies

A second ceremony space provides glimpses of the reservoir along with amphitheatre seating for 70 guests and standing space for an additional 50 people.

Two private, indoor spaces provide couples with endless opportunities for rustic, informal or glamorous reception styling. The Ferntree room seats up to 70 guests and has standing room for up to 110 people, while the Banksia room seats 120 guests and has standing space for up to 200 guests.

Managing the Walkabout Creek event spaces is leading catering company Cuisine on Cue. The company boasts more than 20 years of industry experience – an accomplishment that is clear from the staff’s careful attention to detail.

Walkabout Creek can cater to any style of wedding, whether it is a three-course seated dining experience, a buffet-style dinner, a cocktail party or even a brunch with your nearest and dearest.

With all-inclusive packages, including beverages, theming, staff and a personal wedding coordinator, Walkabout Creek goes above and beyond to provide the very best for every couple and their wedding guests.
